View of Fitch Mountain Through the Railroad Bridge

Healdsburg Center for the Arts, Members' Show this year was going to be views of Fitch Mountain. Since it has been raining non-stop and I couldn't paint outside, I scurried through all my old photos and found this view. It is Fitch Mountain, perfectly framed by the railroad bridge. Meanwhile they have broadened the scope of the show, but I'm glad I did this painting. I don't usually deal with so much structure, and it was a fun challenge. It will be in the show at HCA through April.

Healdsburg Hilltop Llamas, Zorba and Cancun

Several years ago, I first noticed these beautiful llamas grazing on a hilltop above Hwy 101 next to the Bella Villa Messina, in Healdsburg, CA. I have wanted to paint them for a long time now. I recently got the opportunity to meet them in person. Their names are Zorba and Cancun. This painting is in the current show at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts (formerly the Plaza Arts Center).

Barbara's Yellow Schoolhouse

I finally finished painting this charming place that used to be a schoolhouse, and is now the home of a friend. I started it a couple of years ago, and for some reason, set it aside. I drove by there this summer and all of her flowers inspired me to finish it up.
